Thomas Moore Bourbon Oloroso Sherry Cask is a sophisticated expression that bridges Kentucky bourbon tradition with European sherry cask finishing. This 750 mL bourbon was finished in Oloroso sherry casks for approximately one to four years, creating an explosion of sweet, rich fruit and complex flavors that elevate the classic bourbon profile.
Tasting Profile:
- Aroma explosion of sweet, rich fruit and toasted nuts
- Figs and aged fruit complexity
- Hints of spicy tobacco and subtle cedar
- Sweet, soft, round palate with myriad aged fruits and nuts
- Balanced, sweet finish with notes of spicy oak
The extended sherry cask finishing creates remarkable depth and sophistication, transforming traditional bourbon into something truly special. The Oloroso sherry influence adds layers of dried fruit, nuts, and subtle spice that complement rather than overwhelm the bourbon's character. Perfect for bourbon enthusiasts seeking innovative finishing techniques and the rich complexity that only sherry cask maturation can provide.
