Chase the spirit of the Hudson Valley with Taconic Distillery Fox and Hare Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey. Crafted in Stanfordville, New York, this cask-strength rye, bottled at 125 proof (62.5% ABV), is drawn from Taconic’s oldest barrels, aged a minimum of 6 years in new charred American oak (Char 3, 53-gallon barrels from Independent Stave Company). Distilled from a 95% rye, 5% malted barley mashbill using local grains and natural spring water from Rolling Hills Farm, it’s non-chill filtered to preserve bold flavors, resulting in a deep amber-copper hue that may show slight cloudiness—a badge of its unadulterated character. Sip it neat to embrace its fiery spice or add water to soften its edge. Ever tasted a rye this rugged yet refined? Priced at $120, this limited single-barrel release is a must for rye lovers and collectors, embodying Taconic’s farm-to-bottle ethos. Grab it fast—it’s as elusive as a fox in the forest.
