Martini Ambrato Riserva Speciale Vermouth is a premium Italian vermouth that represents Martini's dedication to reviving historic vermouth styles with exceptional quality and complexity. Created as part of the Riserva Speciale collection, Ambrato ("amber" in Italian) showcases a unique amber-hued vermouth that draws inspiration from 19th-century recipes, offering a distinctive profile that bridges sweet and dry vermouths with surprising versatility. Crafted using quality Italian wines, a proprietary blend of botanicals including Alpine herbs and spices, and aged in small oak barrels to develop additional complexity and color, this vermouth delivers rich character with herbal bitterness, warming spice, and subtle oxidative notes that add sophistication. The result is an elegant, complex vermouth that works beautifully in both classic and contemporary cocktails while offering enough depth and refinement to be enjoyed simply over ice. Martini's heritage dating back to 1863 combined with modern innovation makes Ambrato a compelling choice for those seeking premium vermouth that honors tradition while offering something distinctive.
On the nose, Martini Ambrato presents inviting aromas of herbs, vanilla, and oak with notes of orange peel, warm spices, caramel, and subtle oxidative complexity from the barrel aging. The palate delivers a beautifully balanced experience where herbal bitterness meets gentle sweetness and rich botanical depth, creating layers of flavor with notes of wormwood, citrus, cinnamon, vanilla, and oak influence that adds structure and sophistication. The finish is elegant and warming with lingering herbs, spice, and subtle bitterness. The amber color and unique flavor profile make it particularly versatile—it works excellently in Negronis and Boulevardiers where its complexity shines, creates interesting variations on Manhattans and other stirred cocktails, and is equally rewarding served over ice with an orange twist as a sophisticated aperitif. Whether you're exploring premium vermouths from historic producers, seeking distinctive bottles that offer versatility across both aperitivo and digestivo styles, or looking for quality vermouth that bridges sweet and dry categories with complex character, Martini Ambrato Riserva Speciale Vermouth delivers Italian heritage and the refined, amber-hued sophistication that makes it a standout expression in Martini's prestigious portfolio.
