This tropical and refreshing white wine originates from New Zealand, within the world-renowned Marlborough region. The King Maui label belongs to the Tiki Wine & Vineyards portfolio, a family-owned producer based in North Canterbury that manages vineyards across some of New Zealand's premier winegrowing areas. The winery's philosophy centres on producing 'spirited' wines with effortless appeal that celebrate the vibrant and expressive character of the Marlborough terroir.
Wine Description
King Maui Sauvignon Blanc presents a brilliant appearance characteristic of Marlborough white wines. The sensory profile features an intensely aromatic nose of passionfruit, grapefruit, and rockmelon, layered with subtle herbaceous notes of fresh-cut grass and green bell peppers. On the palate, the wine is 'bright and fresh', showcasing pristine fruit flavours of dried mangoes, dried pineapple, and Meyer lemon lifted by a crisp, lively acidity. It is characterized by a fine texture and a 'crunchy' energy that leads to a persistent, mouthwatering finish. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc was fermented to preserve its primary fruit energy and typically reaches an ABV of approximately 13%. While the producer emphasizes environmental stewardship, this specific bottling is not certified organic.
