Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial 2020 is a red wine from the Abadía Retuerta estate at Sardón de Duero in Castilla y León, Spain. The 2020 blend combines 69% Tempranillo, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Syrah, 4% Merlot, 2% Graciano, and 1% Petit Verdot. Each component was selected from wines vinified separately from the estate’s classified plots, then the finished blend matured for 12 months in French and American oak. This listing is for one 750ml bottle at 14% ABV (28 proof).
The 2020 vintage shows dark garnet color and a layered profile of cherry, black cherry, and mature red fruit framed by fine oak, cedar, and vanilla. Subtle forest-floor character follows toward the finish. On the palate, it is intense and creamy, with a plush texture, juicy flow, gentle grip, and a balanced structure that reflects both the Tempranillo-led blend and its measured oak maturation. The exact bottle image confirms the Selección Especial 2020 presentation and Sardón de Duero designation.
