What sets this 750 ml rye apart is where it spends its final months: a Sauternes wine cask. Bottled at 45% ABV, the whiskey keeps the peppery bite of rye grain while picking up honeyed sweetness and stone fruit from the dessert-wine barrel.
The result sits somewhere between a spice-forward rye and a wine-influenced sipper, with oak framing the sweeter notes and an elegant finish. It's a pour aimed at drinkers who want to see what barrel experimentation can do to a familiar grain.
