The Olmec Maduro Double Corona is a full-bodied, immersive journey into the flavors and traditions of the oldest known Mesoamerican civilization. Paying homage to the Olmecs—often considered the “mother culture” of Central America— this long 7 x 54 vitola allows the blend to unfold gradually and with remarkable complexity. Its oily San Andrés Maduro wrapper delivers deep notes of dark chocolate, espresso, black pepper, and earthy sweetness, backed by vintage Nicaraguan tobaccos aged for years before rolling.
Foundation Cigars, founded by Nicholas Melillo, is celebrated for producing cigars that combine cultural storytelling with exceptional tobacco pedigree. The Olmec brand exemplifies this approach, highlighting the significance of tobacco in ancient ceremonial life while showcasing Melillo’s mastery of both Nicaraguan and Mexican leaf. With its extended format, the Double Corona elevates this concept even further.
The longer length offers a slow, cool burn that allows each layer of flavor to bloom. Transitions of spice, mineral-rich earth, cedar, and bittersweet cocoa appear throughout the smoke, creating a sophisticated profile that never becomes overwhelming despite its strength. The construction is flawless, delivering a firm ash and consistent performance from foot to finish.
For aficionados who enjoy savoring a cigar’s full evolution, the Olmec Maduro Double Corona is an exceptional option—a long, luxurious expression of ancient heritage and modern craftsmanship that rewards patience with richness and depth.
