Worldwide Botanicals Instant Organic Chicory Root is a caffeine-free, instant roasted chicory powder that delivers coffee-like flavor and natural prebiotic inulin in seconds.
Enjoy a smooth, rich cup without brewing equipment: this instant roasted chicory is made from organic roots roasted in Europe, then brewed and rapidly dehydrated so you reconstitute full flavor and prebiotic benefit with a single teaspoon. It’s shelf-stable, acid-free and naturally free of caffeine and coffee oils, making it a versatile pantry staple for hot drinks, lattes, iced beverages and recipes that call for coffee flavor without the buzz.
How do I prepare Instant Organic Chicory for everyday drinks?
Preparing chicory is fast and flexible — dissolve it in hot or cold liquids, or mix into milk for a creamy latte. Start with the suggested teaspoon and adjust for strength depending on whether you want a subtle coffee-like note or a bold cup.
- Hot cup: stir 1 tsp into 8 oz hot water or milk.
- Stronger cappuccino-style: use 1½ tsp and top with frothed milk.
- Iced option: dissolve 1½ tsp in cold water, pour over ice, add milk or sweetener.
- Recipe swap: substitute 1:1 for instant coffee in desserts and smoothies.
What nutritional benefits does chicory offer and how is it processed?
Chicory root is naturally high in inulin, a soluble prebiotic fiber that supports a healthy gut environment by feeding beneficial microbes. Our product is brewed from roasted organic chicory and instant-dehydrated to lock in flavor and the naturally occurring compounds without adding fats or oils.
- High in inulin, a prebiotic soluble fiber.
- Instant dehydration preserves aroma and soluble compounds.
- Roasted in Europe by experienced roasters for balanced flavor.
- Free from caffeine, gluten-free and kosher certified.
Why blend chicory with coffee — what does it change in taste and acidity?
Blending chicory with coffee softens acidity and reduces caffeine per cup while contributing a roasted, slightly woody and nutty depth. Many people use it to create a smoother, less bitter coffee profile or to enjoy a longer, mellow cup without extra stimulation.
- Use in a 1:1 ratio to lower overall caffeine and acidity.
- Adds a rich, earthy backbone to espresso or brewed coffee.
- Ideal for sensitive stomachs seeking less coffee acid.
- Works in coffees, lattes, cocktails and desserts for added complexity.
How long does the instant chicory keep and who grows it?
Because chicory root lacks coffee oils, it resists rancidity and stays flavorful for long periods when kept sealed and dry. Worldwide Botanicals partners with organic family farmers in Europe for responsibly grown chicory that is roasted, brewed and dried to strict quality standards.
- Packaged shelf-stable; store in a cool, dry, dark place.
- Grown by organic family farms and roasted in Europe.
- Produced to preserve flavor without burning the root.
- Comes in an 8 oz container providing about 114 teaspoon servings.
Who is this for: Worldwide Botanicals Instant Organic Chicory Root is for anyone seeking a caffeine-free coffee alternative, people who want to lower coffee acidity or caffeine intake, and home cooks who want a roasted coffee flavor in recipes. It’s also a convenient choice for travelers, busy mornings, and those who value organic sourcing and shelf-stable pantry staples.
