Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc is a classic and highly consistent expression of the Marlborough style, produced by one of the region’s pioneer family-owned estates. Established in 1978, the winery focuses on fruit from the Wairau Valley, where the stony, river-bed soils produce grapes with intense aromatics and a signature flinty minerality. The wine is typically defined by its vibrant, zesty character, offering a concentrated bouquet of white currants, gooseberry, and tropical passionfruit, underscored by fresh herbal notes of lime zest and tomato leaf. On the palate, it is crisp and dry with an elegant weight and a long, refreshing finish.
