This exceptional S.T. Dupont Gatsby Ligne 2 lighter, crafted in January 1994, is one of the Maison’s most distinctive and collectible lacquer creations. Finished in a luxurious 24K gold finish with deep natural black lacquer infused with genuine gold powder, this model showcases the exceptional artistry and traditional Chinese lacquer techniques for which S.T. Dupont is internationally renowned.
The original Gold Powder series, introduced during the early 1990s, remains one of the most iconic decorative collections ever produced by S.T. Dupont. The delicate gold particles suspended beneath layers of natural lacquer create remarkable depth and luminosity, giving each lighter a unique appearance. This celebrated technique continues to inspire S.T. Dupont’s modern lacquer collections, making these early examples especially desirable among collectors.
The elegant Gatsby (Medium Ligne 2) format offers outstanding balance in hand while producing the famous S.T. Dupont signature “clink” opening sound, reflecting the Maison’s legendary mechanical precision. Preserved in never-used condition and accompanied by its exceptional original presentation box and complete documentation, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of S.T. Dupont’s most artistic and enduring creations.
