The Undurraga T.H. Syrah Leyda hails from Chile's renowned Leyda Valley, a subregion of the San Antonio Valley. Viña Undurraga, established in 1885, is celebrated for its commitment to expressing Chile's diverse terroirs through its Terroir Hunter (T.H.) series. This initiative focuses on uncovering distinctive micro-terroirs to craft wines that authentically represent their origins.
Wine Description
This Syrah presents a deep, rich colour and exudes a pronounced coastal character. The nose offers aromas of raw meat, liqueur-like black fruits, spices, and herbs. On the palate, it is succulent with soft tannins, delivering a harmonious blend of flavours and creamy textures. The wine's structure is complemented by a vibrant acidity, contributing to its freshness and balance.
Food Pairing
This Syrah pairs excellently with grilled lamb, beef stews, and game meats. The wine's depth and character are highlighted when accompanied by dishes featuring rich, savoury flavours.
