Hoyo de Monterrey Oscuro is a medium-bodied masterpiece that redefines the classic Honduran profile. This striking blend features a dark, oily Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper—a first for the brand—paired with an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and a complex filler blend from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
The result is a deeply nuanced smoke that opens with notes of cherry cola, rye bread, and white pepper, followed by layers of molasses, cocoa, and cayenne spice. The retrohale reveals a touch of earth and roasted nuts, while the finish lingers with a satisfying balance of sweetness and heat. It’s a cigar that evolves with every draw, offering complexity without overwhelming the palate.
Available in three bold vitolas:
- Rothschild (4.5" x 50)
- Toro (6.0" x 52)
- Gigante (6.0" x 60)
With its sleek black-and-gold band and rich flavor profile, Oscuro is a standout in the Hoyo lineup—perfect for those who crave depth, character, and a touch of the unexpected.
