The Torres de Nicaragua 1492 Jerez Legacy Habano Robusto is a beautifully presented 5" × 54 cigar handcrafted in Estelí, Nicaragua. An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounds a Nicaraguan binder and a blend of aged Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Estelí, Jalapa and Condega. Medium in strength, the 1492 offers a wonderfully rich and aromatic smoking experience, bringing together the earthy character of Nicaraguan tobacco with an appealing combination of sweetness, spice and smoothness.
Dark chocolate, ripe plum and cinnamon give this cigar a particularly inviting flavour profile, complemented by oak, coffee and a lingering touch of molasses. The interplay between warm spice, dark fruit and natural sweetness creates a satisfying, layered experience, with plenty of character in a generously proportioned Robusto.
Fog & Flame Notes: There's a fascinating bit of cigar history behind the 1492 Jerez Legacy. Rodrigo de Jerez sailed with Christopher Columbus on his first voyage to the Americas and is widely credited as one of the first Europeans to take up tobacco smoking after encountering it in the New World. Torres de Nicaragua pays tribute to that history with a handsome cigar that has plenty to offer in its own right. The combination of chocolate, plum, cinnamon and molasses gives this Habano a particularly appealing character, especially for those who appreciate a little sweetness alongside their Nicaraguan tobacco.
