The Bean Organic Coffee Co. Decaf Vanilla Bean is a USDA-certified organic, water-processed decaf ground coffee with natural vanilla flavor, roasted in small batches for a smooth, medium-bodied cup.
Enjoy a decaffeinated coffee that prioritizes organic sourcing, eco-conscious farming, and careful roasting. This 16-ounce bag of medium ground coffee blends mountain-grown beans with certified organic vanilla flavoring, then removes caffeine with a chemical-free water process to preserve aroma and tasting notes. Hand-roasted in small batches in the USA, this product is designed to deliver the familiar warmth of a vanilla-flavored brew without the stimulant effects of caffeine.
How does the water-processed decaf method affect flavor?
The Swiss/mountain water decaffeination method removes caffeine without using chemical solvents, which helps retain more of the bean's original flavors and aromatic compounds. Expect a balanced, full-bodied profile with gentle acidity and clear vanilla highlights rather than a flat or over-processed taste.
- Chemical-free decaffeination for cleaner flavor retention
- Preserves natural oils and aroma for richer cup quality
- Results in a smoother body and reduced bitterness
What makes this coffee organic and eco-conscious?
This product is certified organic by USDA and CCOF, and the flavorings used are organically certified as well. Farming methods emphasize soil and water health, biodiversity protection, and avoidance of synthetic inputs and genetic modification, supporting sustainable ecosystems.
- USDA and CCOF organic certification on beans and flavor
- Sustainable farming practices that protect soil and water
- No synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or GMOs used
How is the coffee roasted and packaged to ensure freshness?
The Bean Organic Coffee Company roasts in small batches to capture peak aromatics and then packages the coffee promptly to lock in freshness. Small-batch roasting allows tighter control over timing and temperature, producing a consistent medium roast tailored to highlight vanilla notes without overwhelming roast flavors.
- Hand roasted in small batches in the USA for consistency
- Packaged near peak roast for preserved freshness and aroma
- Medium grind suited to drip machines and many home brewers
Which brewing methods work best for this medium ground decaf?
This medium grind is versatile across popular home brewing styles, giving a satisfying cup whether you use a standard drip machine, pour-over cone, or French press. Adjust water temperature and brew time to highlight the vanilla sweetness or emphasize body and mouthfeel.
- Drip and automatic brewers: balanced extraction and convenience
- Pour-over: cleaner clarity and pronounced vanilla nuance
- French press: fuller body and richer mouthfeel

Decaf Vanilla Bean is intended for coffee drinkers who want the taste and ritual of a flavored, medium-bodied coffee without caffeine, and who prioritize organic certifications and environmentally minded farming.
