Santa Julia La Oveja Natural White is an aromatic white wine from the Maipú appellation in Mendoza, Argentina. Bodega Santa Julia was founded in 1950 by Alberto Zuccardi and remains a family-owned estate led by the Zuccardi family. The winery is a pioneer in sustainable viticulture and stands as the largest owner of organic vineyards in Argentina. Their winemaking philosophy for the natural range emphasizes minimal human intervention, utilizing native yeasts and bottling without added sulphites to maintain the pure identity of the land.
Wine Description
This wine displays a pale yellow colour with distinct greenish reflections. The sensory profile is intensely aromatic, featuring a magnetic bouquet of white fruits like peach and nectarine, layered with floral notes of rose petals, jasmine, and geranium. On the palate, it is light-bodied, dry, and lively, supported by a refreshing acidity and a medium intensity that highlights citrus flavours. The finish is clean, long, and citrusy, with a persistent lemon-zest impression and elegant herbal whispers. Crafted from 100% Torrontés grapes, the wine undergoes a 15-day maceration with skin contact to provide texture without heaviness. It has an ABV of 13.4% and is a certified organic and natural wine bottled unfiltered.
