When you have “Punch” and “Rare” in the same sentence, you know it simply has to be great. And that is exactly what the Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild happens to be: truly great. Rich and impeccably smooth, these treasures are only released for a short time each year and will deliver an amazing one of a kind experience.
The Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild is a beautifully box-pressed 4 ½” x 50 stick draped in a tantalizingly reddish Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper leaf. Hidden beneath are Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican Piloto Cubano filler tobaccos which have been tucked neatly into a Connecticut Broadleaf binder to make a plush 45 minute or so smoke.
As the Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild hits its stride, luxurious notes of wood, earth and spice envelope the senses. Splashes of leather, pepper and anise emerge while faint bursts of dried fruit and nuts round out the impressively complex medium-to-full bodied smoke, while the finish is long, savory and gratifying.
Sumptuously smooth and delightfully rich, the Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild is a true classic that should find a happy home in any cigar enthusiast’s humidor. These 90-rated gems are in very limited supply, however, so do not hesitate to snag yours before they are gone!
