Every now and then a cigar comes along that is so serenely blended and so amazingly delicious that it is just begging to be deemed a masterpiece. And the La Aurora Preferidos Gold definitely fits the bill. Smooth, tasty and loaded with goodness, the La Aurora Preferidos Gold is the ultimate connoisseur’s smoke.
The La Aurora Preferidos Gold emerges from its golden tube as a beautifully crafted 5” x 54 Double Perfecto that is draped with a tantalizing Corojo wrapper leaf from the Dominican Republic’s famed Cibao Valley. Tucked inside are a Cibao-grown binder leaf and a blend of Brazilian, Ecuadorian and Dominican filler tobaccos.
The 60 minute or so journey is filled with tasty cedar, earth and spice flavors that ride atop waves of pepper and oak. A touch of leather and a dash of cream add immense complexity to the medium-bodied La Aurora Preferidos Gold, which brings the curtain down with a rousing grand finale.
Available in boxes of 6 or 24 tubed cigars, the La Aurora Preferidos Gold is indeed a standard by which all Corojo cigars must be judged. Rich, yet enticingly balanced, these treasures will make fantastic additions to any cigar humidor and will elevate any moment to “special occasion” status.
