A seamless assortment of classic Napa Cabernet aromas exude from the glass — cassis, black cherries, chaparral and a touch of butterscotch. On the palate, the wine is tastefully expressive with ripe raspberry, crème caramel, bay leaf and currant. Carrying its own weight through the finish, the wine’s prominent tannins will soften over time.
Product Description
Wine of character is a term often thrown around it seems to me when it appears to be more led by the desire of a marketing team than an actual description of the wine or indeed the winery itself. Here, though, you have the real deal. David Swift Phinney is the man behind what ends up as an unforgettable wine in your glass. The name Orin Swift is actually a combination of his father's middle name and his mother's maiden name.
Tasting Notes
Superbly expressive. A wine that will certainly make your pallet sit up and pay attention! A heady mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
