What happens when gin spends time in bourbon barrels? New Riff answers that question with Wild Gin Bourbon Barrel, bottled at 47% ABV in a 750 ml format. Juniper and spiced botanicals stay front and center, while the wood contributes vanilla, oak and caramel that pull the spirit toward whiskey territory.
The result sits between two categories rather than in either one, with bourbon undertones threading through the botanical core. It's a working example of how barrel time can stretch what gin is capable of tasting like.
