Nankai White Oak Cask Finished Shochu is a kokuto shochu from Amami Island, Japan, distilled from 80% sugarcane and 20% rice. Nankai describes it as a blend of single-distilled spirit produced in vacuum and atmospheric pot stills, then finished in American and French oak casks for three to five years. The authenticated source item, exact UPC record, official product page, and front label converge on one 720ml bottle at 24% ABV (48 proof). The label clearly identifies the White Oak expression and its cask-finished style.
The producer describes woody aromas balanced by vanilla, lychee, and banana on the palate. Oak maturation adds depth while the moderate strength keeps the spirit suited to relaxed sipping and food pairing. Nankai recommends enjoying White Oak neat, over ice, or in a highball, and suggests using it in lower-strength variations on whiskey cocktails. The front package also states that the spirit is a product of Japan and finished in oak casks. Its combination of kokuto shochu, mixed distillation methods, and American and French oak creates a distinct expression within Nankai’s Amami Island range.
