Privada Storytelling
The Montenegro President Gomez Series is not just a cigar—it is a revolution wrapped in tobacco. Born from the vision of two Beverly Hills investors turned cigar artisans, Montenegro Cigars has built its legacy on patience, organic farming, and an unwavering dedication to purity. Every tobacco leaf is aged at least five years, often seven or more, and grown under the meticulous care of Hector Luis Prieto, one of Cuba’s most revered farmers. This makes Montenegro the only known organic tobacco farm in the world, a rarity in an industry where yield often takes priority over quality.
This particular series pays homage to Cuban revolutionary President Gomez, a figure whose life was as bold and polarizing as the flavors in this cigar. From the first spark, you are greeted with rich, dripping chocolate notes unlike anything else in the Privada portfolio. It is decadent, unapologetic, and deeply revolutionary—just like the man whose name it carries.
Flavor Journey
-
First Third: A swirl of hazelnut, cinnamon simple syrup, cedar, and orange rind, wrapped in creamy smoke with hints of red and white pepper. Vanilla hides beneath the surface, rounding the profile into a seamless harmony.
-
Second Third: Bursting with chocolate-covered fruits, the profile thickens into lush smoke laced with oak, cedar, and hazelnut. Chocolate syrup dominates, offering one of the most dessert-like experiences you’ll find in a cigar.
-
Final Third: Intensifies into a robust crescendo—fruit, cream, oak, hazelnut, cocoa, and vanilla. Occasional relights reveal just how juicy this blend is, rewarding with one of the richest finishes of any cigar aged in Privada’s vault.
Why It Belongs in Privada
