Made by Monin, this 375 ml jalapeño concentrate is designed to deliver fresh, spicy jalapeño aroma and flavor in a compact, shelf-stable form. It’s allergen-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher, vegan, and non-GMO, containing no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, or unnecessary calories. The concentrate is formulated to blend cleanly into cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages, dressings, sauces and culinary preparations where you want authentic jalapeño heat without altering sweetness.
How can I use Monin Jalapeño Concentrate in cocktails and beverages?
Use a few drops to a splash of the concentrate to add crisp jalapeño bite to margaritas, bloody marys, lemonades and mocktails. The flavor is spicy and vegetal rather than sweet, so it pairs well with citrus, tequila, vodka and sparkling water.
- Add 5–10 ml to a single cocktail for noticeable heat without muddling.
- Mix 1–2 teaspoons into dressings and aguas frescas for subtle spice.
- Create jalapeño syrup by combining with neutral simple syrup if a sweet-spicy profile is desired.
What culinary uses work best with this concentrated jalapeño flavor?
The concentrate seasons marinades, dips, sauces and spreads where you want a fresh, spicy note. It’s excellent for boosting cream cheese dips, aioli, salsa blends and barbecue sauces with controlled heat and consistent results.
- Stir into cream cheese or sour cream for a spicy spread or bagel topping.
- Add measured amounts to marinades for chicken, shrimp or grilled vegetables.
- Blend into mayo-based dressings to create a jalapeño-laced sandwich sauce.
How much should I use and how do I control heat?
Start small and increase incrementally: a few milliliters can shift a whole batch. Because the concentrate delivers pure jalapeño flavor without added sweetness, measuring gives consistent spiciness and avoids overpowering other ingredients.
- Begin with 1–2 ml per serving for mild heat, 5–10 ml for medium intensity.
- Scale proportionally for larger batches; taste and adjust gradually.
- Combine with dairy or acid (yogurt, lime) to temper heat if needed.
How should I store and handle the 375 ml bottle?
Keep the bottle sealed and stored in a cool, dark pantry away from direct heat and sunlight. Refrigeration after opening can extend freshness and preserve the bright jalapeño aroma for professional or home use.
- Store unopened in a cool, dry place.
- Refrigerate after opening for best shelf life and aroma retention.
- Use a measuring spoon or dropper for repeatable dosing and minimal waste.
