Mayorga Organic Coffee Pods Decaf Cubano are single-serve K-Cup compatible pods that deliver a bold, dark-roast Cubano flavor without caffeine using the Swiss Water Process.
These 30-count K-Cup style pods pack Mayorga's signature dark Cubano roast into convenient single-serve portions. Made from 100% specialty-grade Arabica beans sourced from small Latin American farms, the coffee is decaffeinated gently with the Swiss Water Process to retain body and flavor while lowering acidity. The pods are USDA Organic and Non-GMO verified, and the company emphasizes direct trade relationships with growers and third-party testing for quality and safety.
What does "Decaf Cubano" taste like compared to regular Cubano?
Decaf Cubano aims to mirror the bold cocoa, caramel sweetness, and full-bodied mouthfeel of the original Cubano roast, with reduced acidity and virtually no caffeine. The Swiss Water Process preserves aromatic compounds, producing a rich, smooth cup that leans toward chocolate and toasted sugar notes.
- Bold dark-roast profile with cocoa and sweet finish
- Lower acidity for an evening-friendly cup
- Full-bodied texture similar to caffeinated Cubano
- No added flavors — taste comes from the roast and beans
How is the coffee decaffeinated and why does that matter?
Mayorga uses the Swiss Water Process, a chemical-free, water-based method that removes caffeine while preserving flavor compounds. Because it does not use solvents, the process keeps more of the coffee’s natural aroma and taste intact, which matters for lovers of dark roasts who want a true flavor match without caffeine.
- Swiss Water Process: solvent-free, water-extraction method
- Retains aromatic oils and flavor compounds
- Preferred for specialty-grade beans and higher-quality decafs
- Good choice if you avoid chemically processed decaf coffee
Will these pods work in my single-serve brewer and how many cups will I get?
These K-Cup compatible pods are built to brew cleanly in most single-serve machines that accept standard K-Cup style pods. A 30-count box provides thirty individual portions—handy for home, office, or travel when you want a consistent cup without grinding or measuring.
- Compatible with most K-Cup style single-serve brewers
- 30 pods — 30 single cups per box
- No machine adjustments needed; quick, low-mess brewing
- Ideal for households, small offices, and commuters
What quality and sourcing standards does Mayorga follow?
Mayorga sources 100% specialty-grade Arabica from small farming partners across Latin America and roasts beans slowly in small batches. The company practices direct trade, pays above Fair Trade prices, and runs third-party lab tests for mold and mycotoxins to ensure consistent quality in every pod.
- 100% specialty-grade Arabica, slow roasted in small batches
- USDA Organic and Non-GMO verified certification
- Direct trade relationships and traceability to farms
- Third-party testing for quality and safety standards
