Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask Single Malt Whisky
The Macallan 12 year old double cask single malt whisky forms part of Macallans double cask range which marries the classic style and the unmistakable sweetness of American oak. This is a fully rounded single malt in perfect balance, with flavours of fudge, citrus and soft spice.
- Macallan 12 year old whisky unveils a balance of flavours that echo its aromatic profile
- The sweetness of honey and vanilla dances alongside the warmth of cinnamon and nutmeg
- The fruitiness of apples and raisins adds a touch of vibrancy
- The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, a testament to the whisky's age and maturation
A meticulous selection of oak casks. For the 12 year old double cask, they use two types of oak. American oak and European oak both seasoned with sherry. These two oak types bring unique characteristics to the maturation process, resulting in a symphony of flavours and aromas that dance across the palate.
