Kveik Yeastery K.1 Voss Kveik Yeast is an active dry Norwegian farmhouse yeast developed for brewers who want rapid fermentation, exceptional heat tolerance, and bright citrus-forward flavor. This versatile Kveik strain produces notes of orange, tangerine, and citrus while maintaining clean fermentation performance across an unusually wide temperature range.
Designed for both traditional farmhouse brewing and modern hop-forward styles, K.1 Voss performs well in Norwegian farmhouse ales, fast-fermented ales, IPAs, pale ales, and sour beers. Its ability to ferment cleanly at elevated temperatures makes it an excellent option for brewers seeking flexibility and faster production schedules.
This dry Kveik yeast features high flocculation, high attenuation, approximately 13% alcohol tolerance, and performs across a fermentation range of 59–104°F (15–40°C). The strain delivers dependable performance while developing expressive citrus character without requiring strict temperature control.
For best results, pitch according to the manufacturer's recommendations and maintain fermentation temperatures appropriate for your desired flavor profile. Proper wort oxygenation and healthy fermentation practices help maximize yeast performance and consistency.
Produced for reliable brewing performance, Kveik Yeastery K.1 Voss provides homebrewers and professional brewers with a dependable option for producing clean, citrus-forward beers with exceptionally fast fermentation.
