Kinneret 100% Pure Date Syrup (Silan) is a thick, all-natural sweetener made solely from dates, packaged in a convenient 22 oz squeeze bottle and suitable as a honey or sugar alternative.
Bring a naturally caramel-like sweetness to breakfasts, baking, beverages, and sauces with a single pantry staple. This pure date syrup is prepared only from concentrated dates, with no added sugars, flavors, or preservatives. Its dense texture and rich flavor make it useful as a direct swap for other liquid sweeteners while the squeeze bottle keeps dispensing tidy and precise.
How does Kinneret Date Syrup perform in everyday cooking and baking?
Use it exactly where you’d reach for honey, maple, or simple syrup: drizzled over pancakes, folded into batters, or stirred into dressings for a mellow sweetness and deep color. Its viscous consistency helps bind and moisten baked goods while imparting a subtle date flavor.
- Drizzle over pancakes, yogurt, or ice cream for immediate flavor lift
- Replace honey or maple 1:1 in most recipes for consistent sweetness
- Add to marinades, glazes, or salad dressings for body and color
- Mix into coffee or smoothies as a natural sweetener that dissolves easily
What makes this syrup a suitable sugar or honey alternative?
This syrup is concentrated date extract with no added sugar, offering a naturally derived sweetness and a different nutrient profile than refined sugar. It’s labeled low glycemic index compared to many refined sweeteners, and it contains trace minerals and antioxidants naturally found in dates.
- 100% date content—no fillers, added sweeteners, or artificial additives
- Lower glycemic response than many refined sugars (individual responses vary)
- Contains natural minerals such as potassium from the fruit
- Kosher certified, including suitability for Passover when labeled
How easy is it to use and store Kinneret Date Syrup?
The 22 oz squeeze bottle with a flip-top cap is designed for neat, measured pouring and quick resealing. Store it at room temperature in a cool, dry place; refrigeration after opening is optional but can prolong freshness and slow crystallization.
- Squeeze bottle gives controlled pours and reduces sticky mess
- Flip-top cap seals securely between uses
- Pantry stable; refrigeration optional to extend shelf life
- 22 oz size balances household use with long shelf life
Is Kinneret Date Syrup suitable for special diets and occasions?
Because it’s made from a single ingredient—dates—it works well for many dietary preferences that avoid refined sugars or animal-derived honey. The product is certified kosher and labeled for Passover use, making it appropriate for year-round and holiday kitchens.
- Plant-based and vegan-friendly alternative to honey
- Kosher certified; labeled for Passover where indicated
- Free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives
- Simple ingredient list minimizes allergen concerns (check label for batch info)
Who is this for? Home cooks, bakers, and drink-makers looking for a straightforward, single-ingredient sweetener will appreciate Kinneret Date Syrup. It suits anyone wanting a natural alternative to refined sugars or honey—especially people seeking a convenient squeeze-bottle format, kosher certification for holiday use, or a pantry-friendly option to add depth and moisture to recipes.
