As a follow-up to last year's Pinhook 9-year, Jason and Scott from Mash & Journey were able to secure the next Mash and Journey Single Barrel for your vertical. The Bourbon Vertical Series is a unique opportunity to follow a group of 1,350 MGP bourbon barrels as they age from four to sixteen years, and experience the arc of flavors throughout the thirteen-year journey. This 10-year single barrel is dangerously delicious, with super-sweet flavors that make it crushable.
Here are the details:

Nose: Rich waves of melted caramel and toffee lead immediately, followed by toasted almond, almond biscotti, and a soft bakery warmth. Subtle notes of vanilla bean, honeyed oak, and a hint of orange zest add depth, with gentle age-driven spice in the background.
Palate: Full and rounded on entry, showcasing deep caramelized sugar and buttery toffee. The almond biscotti character shines mid-palate—nutty, lightly sweet, and gently toasted—layered with vanilla custard, baked pastry, and a touch of cinnamon. Well-integrated oak provides structure without overpowering the sweetness.
Finish: Long, warm, and satisfying. Caramel and toasted almond linger alongside dry oak, light cocoa, and a faint espresso bitterness that keeps the finish balanced.
