This concentrated kiwi powder captures the bright green color and tart-sweet character of fresh kiwifruit while preserving nutrients through freeze-drying. Light and shelf-stable, the powder is designed to deliver the essence and micronutrients of whole kiwis in a convenient, easy-to-store form that blends into dry mixes and recipes. It’s unsweetened, additive-free, and suitable for anyone who wants real fruit flavor and nutrition without extra sugars or fillers.
How does this powder replace fresh kiwi in recipes?
Because the powder is made from the entire fruit and concentrated by freeze-drying, a small amount stands in for much larger volumes of fresh kiwi. It won’t reconstitute into smooth juice like a concentrate, but it mixes well into batters, smoothies, and dry blends to impart flavor, color, and nutrients.
- 3.5 oz (100 g) equals about 28 oz (800 g) fresh kiwi in nutrient density.
- Use a tablespoon to boost flavor and color in smoothies or porridge.
- Add into dry doughs or sprinkle on yogurt for instant fruit notes.
- Does not dissolve completely in water—best blended into thicker preparations.
What nutritional benefits does whole-fruit freeze-dried kiwi deliver?
Freeze-drying preserves vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from the whole fruit, including nutrients found in seeds and skin. Because no parts are removed, the powder retains a broader nutrient profile than juices or extracts that use only the flesh.
- Whole-fruit processing captures fiber and seed-derived components.
- Freeze-drying minimizes nutrient loss compared with heat drying.
- No added sugar or fillers—nutrients come directly from the fruit.
- Lightweight and concentrated for efficient nutrient delivery.
How should I store and handle the kiwi powder to keep it fresh?
Store the sealed pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain color and flavor. Because no anti-caking agents are used, occasional clumping can occur; simple steps restore a powdery texture.
- Keep package sealed between uses in a pantry or cupboard.
- For clumps, chill in the freezer two hours then gently break up.
- Airtight jar with desiccant helps extend shelf life after opening.
- Avoid humidity and heat to preserve color and nutrients.
