It's time to send your palate on an adventure. Platinum Medal-winning International Press has issued a new ticket to exploration with our 2020 Chardonnay from South Africa's Western Cape. Chardonnay lover or not, this wine offers an alternative taste of this classic grape. Zesty citrus and luscious tropical fruit complement intriguing aromas of fresh herbs and a plush mouthfeel. Not only do the jagged coastlines and turquoise waters of the Western Cape call out to the world traveler, but these factors also make this region an ideal place for grape growing. The cooling Benguela Current flows up from Antarctica around the tip of South Africa and alongside the western coast. In combination with powerful south-easterly winds, these cold waters keep inland vineyards cool in what would otherwise be a hot climate. Our Chardonnay is a delicious way to experience the nuance and splendor of this New World region before packing your bags to set off and see it in person.
