Morris Sherry Barrel Australian Single Malt Whisky is a distinctive expression from Morris of Rutherglen in Victoria, Australia. Matured in a combination of French and American oak ex-Australian red wine casks before being finished in casks that previously held Morris aged flor Apera (Sherry), it balances malt richness, oak structure and dry sherry-cask character. Bottled at 46% ABV, it offers an approachable yet complex profile with fruit, toffee, toasted nuts, subtle spice and fresh herbal notes.
Food Pairing: Pair with roasted or smoked meats, aged cheddar, toasted almonds, charcuterie, roast pork or fruit-based desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and balanced with toffee, baked fruit and peach complemented by fresh sherry-cask character, subtle spice, toasted nuts and clean oak.
Nose: Spun toffee and baked fruit flan with peach compote and fresh sherry-cask aromas.
Palate: Well structured with subtle spice, toasted nuts and clean oak, supported by malt richness and the dry, elegant influence of Apera casks.
Finish: Candied lemon with gentle sage and marjoram, leaving a fresh herbal character and lingering oak.
