Hooten Young x Jack Carr 16 Year “Warrior Proof” American Whiskey is a powerful, limited-release whiskey created as a tribute to the warrior ethos and the moments in life worth slowing down for. Developed in collaboration with retired Navy SEAL and #1 New York Times bestselling author Jack Carr, creator of The Terminal List series, the whiskey was crafted to embody strength, resilience, and reflection. With an impressive 16-year age statement and a commanding 125 proof, it delivers bold flavor, deep maturity, and the kind of intensity suited for contemplative sipping rather than casual drinking.
Origins & Craftsmanship
This limited bottling represents a collaboration between Hooten Young, a spirits brand founded to honor American service members, and Jack Carr, the former Navy SEAL and bestselling author whose stories explore the mindset and sacrifices of elite warriors. Carr worked with the company to help shape the whiskey’s concept and profile, creating a release meant to accompany meaningful moments of reflection and camaraderie.
The whiskey itself is distilled at MGP in Indiana, one of the most respected distilleries in American whiskey production.
Key production details include:
- Age: 16 years in oak barrels
- Mash Bill: 99% corn, 1% malted barley
- Proof: 125 proof (62.5% ABV)
- Style: American whiskey emphasizing corn sweetness and extended maturation
The unusually high corn content gives the whiskey a naturally smooth and sweet base profile, while the long 16-year maturation develops deeper layers of oak, spice, and complexity.
Bottled at “Warrior Proof” strength, the whiskey is intentionally robust, delivering intensity and richness while allowing drinkers to explore its depth with a few drops of water if desired.
