Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave harvested in the Highlands of Jalisco (Los Altos). Slow-cooked in traditional masonry brick ovens and double-distilled, this specialty tasting gift set showcases three distinct expressions in half-bottle (375ml) formats: Don Julio Reposado (aged 8 months), Don Julio Añejo (aged 18 months), and the iconic Don Julio 1942 Extra Añejo / Añejo (aged 2.5 to 3 years). The collection offers a complete side-by-side journey through the house's signature wood maturation and aging profiles.
Food Pairing: Charcuterie boards, grilled carne asada, mole poblano, artisanal dark chocolates, crème brûlée, and aged cheeses.
Tasting Notes : Ranging from warm golden amber to rich, deep mahogany with smooth clarity across all three expressions.
Nose : A progression of aromas starting with citrus zest, vanilla, and soft oak (Reposado), advancing to wild honey, mandarin orange, and toasted spice (Añejo), culminating in dark chocolate, caramel, and rich bourbon oak (1942).
Palate : Smooth and complex across the flight—featuring sweet agave, cocoa, and subtle cinnamon, shifting into rich butterscotch, dried fruits, and layered, velvety oak.
Finish : Warm, elegant, and lingering, evolving from bright citrus-oak warmth to a long, luxurious fade of dark chocolate, vanilla, and sweet wood spice.
Serve : Serve neat in glencairn or snifter glasses at room temperature to compare the progression of aging side-by-side.
