Domaine Thenard Givry Premier Cru Clos Saint Pierre hails from France, situated in the Côte Chalonnaise sub-region of Burgundy. The Thenard family has a rich winemaking heritage in Givry dating back to the 1700s, crafting traditional expressions of Pinot Noir with minimalist intervention and long-standing ancestral techniques. The Clos Saint Pierre vineyard is an exclusive monopole of the estate, perched high on the slope with ideal exposure that yields red fruit elegance and signature minerality.
Wine Description
This 100% Pinot Noir presents a vibrant ruby color in the glass. On the nose, it offers an inviting array of fresh red cherries and crushed berries accented by earthy undertones and subtle kitchen spices. The palate is focused, pure, and medium-bodied, balancing concentrated red fruit flavors with refined tannins, crisp acidity, and a distinct mineral tension. Matured in a combination of oak barrels and large traditional foudres, it closes with a long, fresh, and complex finish.
