The estate is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and crafting wines that reflect the unique and distinguished terroir of the region.
The Pinot Noir Laurène is the pinnacle of the estate's selection, a cuvée named after Véronique Drouhin's daughter. It represents the finest expression of the estate's barrels.
Wine Description
This signature Pinot Noir consistently showcases a beautiful medium color, offering an expressive aromatic profile of red and dark berries (like cherry and raspberry), complemented by complex notes of dried rose petals, wild herbs, and subtle baking spices derived from meticulous oak aging.
On the palate, it is always medium-bodied and graceful, delivering layers of concentrated fruit, refined acidity, and a silky texture. The Laurène is celebrated for its exceptional richness, complexity, and structural elegance, making it a wine that is both immediately approachable and built for long-term cellaring.
Suggested Pairings
This complex and layered Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted duck, grilled salmon, seared venison, or an earthy mushroom risotto, enhancing the wine's depth and structure.
Accodlades
97 Points - James Suckling: Rich, powerful and gorgeous, drenched in fruity, savory, mushroomy flavors on a full body and super-smooth tannins. It is deep in black cherry, blackcurrant, cedar and pine character that expands on the palate and lingers in the finish. Drink or hold.
