Diesel cigars helped establish AJ Fernandez as an up-and-coming phenom to keep an eye on when the brand launched in 2009. Over a decade later, Fernandez is hailed as one of the industry’s all-time great master blenders. The Diesel 10th Anniversary d.4552 celebrates Fernandez’s legacy while adding to the Diesel legend with a boldly satisfying smoke tailor-made for Diesel fans everywhere.
The Diesel 10th Anniversary d.4552 is a 4 ½” x 52 Short Robusto built around a solid core of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. Handmade at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez, the cigar is dressed in a handsomely dark Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper leaf and fitted with a classic Diesel cigar band with a secondary foot band.
Once the Diesel 10th Anniversary d.4552 is underway, prominent earth, spice, coffee, leather, and sweet cream flavors roll over the palate. Hints of pepper and dark chocolate tease along the way as the full-bodied smoke hammers its way towards a big, booming finish.
The Diesel 10th Anniversary d.4552 is a thick, meaty smoke that will delight Diesel loyalists and those new to the line with a richly textured romp on the fuller side of the cigar spectrum. Pair with espresso or whiskey for the ultimate sensory delight.
