Chateau Subsonico Single Vineyard Malbec
The wine offers a unique and complex expression of Malbec, crafted by the fourth generation of winemakers at Falasco Wines. A family deeply rooted in the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina, Falasco Wines combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovation to produce wines that highlight the distinct characteristics of their terroir. This Malbec is no exception, showcasing a fresh yet powerful profile that delights with every sip. The Malbec grapes used in Chateau Subsonico are sourced from a single vineyard, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency. Fermented in concrete tanks and aged in oak, this wine is crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. The result is a wine that balances intensity and freshness, making it an ideal choice for wine enthusiasts looking to explore the rich flavours of Mendoza.
- Fresh aromas of violets on the nose, introducing the rich complexity of the wine.
- Flavours of ripe plums and cherries provide a fruity core, balanced by subtle hints of tobacco and dark chocolate.
- Aged in oak, this wine develops a refined structure with a velvety smoothness and depth.
- The palate showcases a vibrant acidity that enhances its freshness, while tannins provide a strong volume and a lasting finish.
- The wine’s tension on the finish encourages the next sip, leaving you wanting more with its lingering notes of ripe fruit and spice.
It also pairs wonderfully with creamy cheeses, such as aged cheddar or blue cheese, offering a perfect balance between the wine’s acidity and the creaminess of the cheese. For a truly indulgent experience, try it alongside a dark chocolate dessert or a rich, fruit-forward tart.
