Château Bellefont Belcier is a historic estate in Saint Emilion, with origins dating back to the late 18th century. Currently under the ownership of Peter Kwok, the château has flourished through substantial investments and a commitment to sustainable viticulture. The vineyard, located on the famed limestone plateau, benefits from exceptional terroir, enabling the production of refined and elegant wines that reflect both tradition and modern precision.
Wine Description
The 2022 Château Bellefont Belcier presents a deep garnet hue, offering a rich and aromatic bouquet of blackberries, ripe plums, and violets, with subtle hints of graphite and warm spices. On the palate, it unfolds with layers of dark fruit, cocoa, and savoury notes, supported by velvety tannins and a full-bodied structure. The finish is long and mineral-driven, leaving impressions of freshness and finesse. Crafted from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, this vintage showcases remarkable balance and complexity. Best enjoyed from 2027 through 2045, it is a wine of both immediate allure and ageing potential.

Vintage Quality
The 2022 vintage in Bordeaux is noted for its exceptionally warm and dry growing season, which produced concentrated, ripe fruit with excellent tannin maturity. Despite the challenges of heat, the team at Château Bellefont Belcier demonstrated skillful vineyard management, ensuring a harmonious and expressive wine that captures the essence of the year.
