Caskshare Collective Series Agitator 3 Year Old 2018 Cask #4067 is a distinctive Swedish Four Grain Whisky distilled at Agitator Distillery and independently bottled as part of Caskshare's artist-led Collective Series. Distilled in 2018 and matured in a single white Port wine cask, this limited-release whisky was bottled at a robust 58.6% ABV. Its youthful energy is balanced by rich, wine-influenced sweetness, showcasing luscious fruit, creamy toffee, vanilla and vibrant spice. The expression offers an intriguing example of Agitator's innovative Swedish whisky-making approach.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with aged Gouda, roasted almonds, dark chocolate, caramelized pears and plum tart. Its sweet Port wine influence also complements roasted duck with fruit glaze, spiced pastries and creamy vanilla desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward, combining creamy toffee, sugared plums, vanilla, orchard fruits and citrus with delicate floral notes. The white Port cask contributes an appealing balance of sweetness and lively oak spice.
Nose: Inviting aromas of vanilla toffee, sugared plums, orange blossom and raisins, accompanied by delicate floral sweetness and subtle candied fruit.
Palate: Rich and textured, revealing chewy toffee, ripe plums, apples, sultanas and raisins. Gentle vanilla oak develops alongside warming spice, fresh ginger and bright orange zest.
Finish: Lingering toffee and plum sweetness gradually gives way to warming oak spice, ginger and delicate citrus zest.
