CAO’s Flathead series was an immediate smash hit when it was unveiled, combining an unmistakable taste with a unique look and feel inspired by the classic hot rods of yesteryear. Yet biker fans needed their savory smokes, too. So, the CAO team unveiled the motorcycle-inspired CAO Flathead Steel Horse series. The Steel Horse Apehanger is an optimal smoke for those for two-wheeled adventures.
Named after the famous chopper-style handlebars, the Apehanger is a beefy 5 ¾” x 54 cigar constructed around Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. A Brazilian Arapiraca binder and oily Connecticut Habano Grueso wrapper complete the hour or so smoke. While showcasing the line’s famous “flathead,” the Steel Horse Apehanger features a more familiar traditional shape than the original Flathead cigars.
The CAO Flathead Steel Horse Apehanger offers a boldly textured medium-to-full bodied experience. The smoke is a tad mellower than the original Flathead series, yet lip-smacking flavors still abound. A complex blend of leather, spice, wood, pepper, coffee, and chocolate notes fill out the smoke while an earthy core brings it all together for a velvety rich grand finale.
The crowd-pleasing smokes are individually boxed for convenient transport during motorcycle excursions. In fact, along with a helmet, leathers, and gloves, the CAO Flathead Steel Horse Apehanger deserves to be a permanent addition to a proper biking kit. So, grab hold of Apehangers today and ride!
