The Connecticut Shade wrapper is one of the most celebrated tobaccos in the history of cigars, yet somehow has fallen out of favor and has been seemingly phased out by more robust tobaccos. Yet the rumors of Connecticut leaf’s demise have been greatly exaggerated! The folks at Camacho are making their case to put Connecticut tobacco back on top and they are doing it in style!
The Camacho Connecticut Gordo is a stunning 6” x 60 behemoth that beautifully wears the Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. A blend of Honduran Generoso and Dominican Aleman Ligero filler tobaccos are placed into an Authentic Corojo binder completing the glorious stick that will deliver well over an hour of delight.
Thick spice notes get the big stick going and are joined by cedar and earth flavors that round out the mellow, yet full-flavored smoke. Cream and toast nuances play tug-o-war with the taste-buds, while a sweet undertone enhances the sensuous complexity. The finish is energetic, yet composed and lasts long after the Gordo is put to bed.
One puff of the Camacho Connecticut Gordo and you will be giving exuberant thanks to the cigar gods. Whether with divine assistance or simply the veteran expertise of Camacho’s cigar makers, the Camacho Connecticut Gordo will deliver a profoundly smooth and tasty smoke like no other.
