Handcrafted in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, by Black Fox Farm & Distillery, Sage Gin features estate-grown, farm-harvested sage blended alongside local prairie botanicals and a base spirit distilled from farm-grown triticale. Distilled in small batches, this savory, herbaceous gin highlights the earthy aromatics of fresh garden sage balanced by crisp juniper and bright citrus zest.
Food Pairing: Herb-roasted chicken, pork chops with apple-sage glaze, roasted root vegetables, goat cheese crostini, or mushroom risotto.
Tasting Notes: Crystal clear in appearance with a smooth, velvety, and herbal light-to-medium mouthfeel.
Nose: Intensely aromatic with fresh garden sage and earthy herbs upfront, balanced by crisp piney juniper, subtle eucalyptus, and lemon peel.
Palate: Savory and well-structured, opening with rich herbal sage and peppery warmth before unfolding into layers of pine, citrus zest, coriander, and prairie grain sweetness.
Finish: Clean, dry, and crisp with lingering notes of savory sage, fresh herbs, and soft citrus oil.
Serve: Serve over large ice cubes with premium Indian or Mediterranean tonic water, garnished with a slapped fresh sage leaf and a twist of lemon peel.
