Super Saturation is the beloved flagship New England Pale Ale from Calgary’s Cabin Brewing Company. Since its release, it has become a benchmark for the style in Alberta, winning numerous awards for its incredible hop depth and silky texture. Designed to be "saturated" with hop flavor without the harsh bitterness of traditional IPAs, it captures the cozy, nostalgic essence of cabin life—comforting, approachable, and consistently high-quality.
Beer Description
This New England Pale Ale (NEPA) pours a thick, opaque hazy gold with a soft, persistent white head and a glowing, juice-like appearance.
Aroma: It features an explosive tropical nose, dominated by intense notes of candied orange, succulent peach, and ripe mango, with a hint of forest pine.
Palate: The flavor is a wash of tropical fruit salad and citrus zest. It offers a soft mouthfeel that coats the palate, followed by a remarkably low bitterness that allows the juicy hop oils to shine.
Profile: It has an ABV of 6.0% and a very low perceived bitterness, making it incredibly smooth and dangerously drinkable for its strength.
Technical Notes: Brewed with a heavy dose of flaked oats and wheat to create its signature hazy body and creamy mouthfeel. It is aggressively dry-hopped with a massive amount of Citra and Simcoe hops to achieve its deep "saturation" of tropical aromatics.
