From Durango, Mexico, this joven mezcal is made with wild Masparillo agave (Agave Maximiliana) and distilled the ancestral way, in clay and wooden vessels. Bottled at 50.2% ABV in a 750 ml format, it carries the weight and texture that come from those older production methods.
The profile runs smoky and earthy, with roasted agave at its center, citrus zest brightening the middle, and a close marked by minerality and a touch of pepper. Full-bodied and layered, it speaks to drinkers who want mezcal built by hand rather than by machine.
