Bulletproof Cardamom, Orange & Honey Dark Roast Ground Coffee is a 10 oz bag of 100% Arabica dark roast ground coffee flavored with real cardamom, orange peel, and honey for a bright, aromatic cup with a smooth finish.
This ground coffee blends bold, roasted beans with natural ingredients to create a nuanced flavored cup without masking the coffee's character. The beans are sourced from small farms in Central and South America, Rainforest Alliance Certified, and the finished product is tested to reduce exposure to mold-related toxins. It’s designed for people who want a flavor-forward dark roast made with recognizable ingredients rather than artificial additives.
What flavor profile can I expect from this blend?
You’ll notice a rich dark-roast base with warm spice, citrus brightness, and a gentle sweetness. Cardamom provides a fragrant, slightly spicy lift; orange peel brings a clean citrus top note; and honey contributes a rounded sweetness without syrupy heaviness.
- Dark-roast backbone from 100% Arabica beans
- Warm, aromatic cardamom accents
- Bright orange peel highlights on the palate
- Soft honey finish that smooths bitterness
How is this flavored coffee made and tested?
The flavor comes from real ingredients incorporated into the roasted and ground coffee rather than synthetic flavorings. Bulletproof also runs toxin testing aimed at minimizing mold-related contaminants, applying quality checks so the final product meets their clean coffee standards.
- Real cardamom, orange peel, and honey used as flavor components
- No artificial flavors, syrups, or sprays in the recipe
- Quality control includes testing for unwanted toxins
- Sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms
How should I brew it to highlight the flavors?
Choose a brewing method that preserves aromatic notes—French press, pour-over, or drip work well. Use fresh water just off boil for French press or 195–205°F for pour-over, and stick to a 1:15–1:17 coffee-to-water ratio to balance intensity and sweetness.
- French press: full-bodied extraction emphasizing spice
- Pour-over: clearer cup that showcases citrus top notes
- Auto drip: convenient and consistent, retains honey finish
- Use medium-fine grind for pour-over, coarser for French press
Is this coffee ethically sourced and what does that mean?
Yes — the beans are gathered from small farms in Central and South America and sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified operations. That certification supports better farming practices that consider environmental stewardship and worker well-being, though it does not guarantee every farm follows identical practices.
- Hand-picked beans from smallholder farms
- Rainforest Alliance Certified sourcing for responsible practices
- Crafted and roasted to preserve flavor clarity
- Produced and tested under Bulletproof’s quality protocols
