Brinley Gold Shipwreck Coconut Rum is produced on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts by the St. Kitts Rum Company. The brand was founded in 2002 by the father-and-son team Robert and Zachary Brinley, who aimed to revitalize the island’s rum industry using high-quality, natural ingredients. The "Shipwreck" name pays tribute to a British troopship that sank off the coast of St. Kitts during the Battle of Frigate Bay in 1782, a historical event well-known to local divers.
Spirit Description
This premium flavoured rum is handcrafted from a molasses base and blended with natural island coconuts. Unlike many mainstream flavoured rums, it is designed to provide an authentic tropical taste without artificial chemical notes. It presents a clear, brilliant appearance and an inviting aroma of fresh coconut with subtle hints of molasses. On the palate, it is smooth, creamy, and naturally sweet, delivering a rich coconut flavour that carries through to a clean, lingering finish. Brinley Gold Shipwreck Coconut is bottled at a bar-strength ABV of 36% (72 proof), making it more robust than typical coconut rums.
