Tornatore Pietrarizzo Etna Bianco 2023 is an elegantly vibrant and deeply expressive white wine that beautifully captures the volcanic terroir of Mount Etna. Crafted primarily from indigenous Carricante grapes grown at high altitudes in the prestigious Pietrarizzo contrada on the volcano's northern slopes, it pours a bright pale straw-yellow. The nose is highly aromatic and alluring, unfolding with delicate notes of ripe yellow apple, white peach, Meyer lemon, and spring blossoms, gracefully interwoven with savory hints of wet stone, flint, and a touch of saline sea air. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, elegantly textured, and exceptionally vivid. Delivering a pure core of crisp orchard fruit and subtle candied citrus, it is perfectly balanced by a bright, mouthwatering acidity and a distinctive mineral tension. Matured gracefully with partial oak aging to enhance its complexity and roundness, the wine culminates in a long, layered, and beautifully focused finish that purely reflects its rugged volcanic origins.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with grilled swordfish, fresh octopus, steamed mussels with herbs, delicate poultry dishes, and savory herb risottos.
