Bosio Family Estates, founded in 1967 and based in the heart of Piedmont, is a family-owned winery now under the stewardship of Luca Bosio. This dynamic winery honours traditional Piedmontese viticulture while embracing modern techniques to craft expressive and elegant wines. Their vineyards in the Langhe and Roero areas yield wines that reflect deep regional character and attention to detail.
Wine Description
This 100% Barbera presents a rich ruby red hue with garnet reflections. On the nose, it exudes intense aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, and violet, with hints of vanilla and mocha from subtle oak aging. The palate is velvety and concentrated, offering flavours of dark berries, licorice, and sweet spice, framed by supple tannins and refreshing acidity. Medium to full-bodied, the wine finishes long with balanced structure and a touch of minerality.
Food Pairing
Ideal with rich pasta dishes such as tagliatelle with wild boar ragù or mushroom risotto. It also pairs beautifully with grilled meats, aged cheeses, and rustic pizza with truffle oil. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
