Founded in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, Blue Grouse Estate Winery is a family-owned winery with deep roots in sustainable viticulture. Known for its cool-climate expression and dedication to terroir-driven wines, Blue Grouse has earned acclaim for crafting elegant and balanced wines that reflect the unique maritime influence of the region.
This 2023 Chardonnay opens with a pale golden hue, capturing the freshness of its coastal origins. On the nose, it offers vibrant aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, and wet stone, followed by subtle notes of toasted almond and vanilla from restrained oak aging. The palate is crisp yet creamy, with flavours of lemon curd, pear, and a touch of saline minerality. Medium-bodied with lively acidity, it finishes with finesse and length, displaying excellent balance and a hint of complexity.
Food Pairing
Pair this wine with seared scallops, roast chicken with lemon herb butter, or a creamy mushroom risotto. A perfect match to enhance the wine's complexity.
