A celebration of tradition and craftsmanship, the Benriach Malting Season First Edition is a rare single malt whisky that pays homage to Benriach’s heritage of floor malting—an age-old technique revived at the distillery.
Crafted entirely from concerto barley malted in-house, this non-chill filtered release is matured in a combination of bourbon and virgin oak casks, offering layers of complexity and rich character. On the nose, you'll be welcomed with notes of honeyed pear, barley sugar, and a gentle maltiness. The palate unfolds with creamy vanilla, apricot, and a touch of spice, leading to a smooth, lingering finish of oak and roasted nuts.
Bottled at 48.7% ABV, this 700mL expression is the First Edition in the Malting Season series, making it a prized addition for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
