Product Description
BenRiach Authenticus 25 Year Old is a mature peated Speyside single malt Scotch whisky showcasing an unusually smoky side of BenRiach's character. Distilled from peated malted barley and matured for 25 years, this discontinued Authenticus expression balances deep peat smoke and smouldering embers with fresh herbs, tropical fruit and sweet honey. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is presented at natural colour and without chill filtration.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked brisket, chargrilled lamb, mature cheddar, roasted nuts, dark chocolate or honey-glazed pork.
Tasting Notes: Full-bodied and intensely smoky, combining rich peat and smouldering embers with aromatic herbs, ripe tropical fruit and contrasting wild-honey sweetness.
Nose: Ripe pineapple and fresh mountain herbs develop alongside abundant sweet peat and an increasingly powerful wave of smoke.
Palate: Rich peat and smouldering embers are layered with oregano, aniseed and chicory, balanced by a pronounced sweetness.
Finish: Long and warming, with persistent peat smoke, herbs and lingering wild honey.
